When you're sittin in a car, plane, boat or train, your brain is getting signals from all over your body.
Your eyes see object passing by and register movement and your inner ears sense that your body is moving forward, but your muscle and your joints aren't moving.
And if you look down at things in the car, they appear not to be moving either.
Lots of researchers believe that makes your brain kind of confuse and the result is you feel sick.
It's unclear why motion sickness affects some people, but not others.
Some people even get sick when they're using virtual reality goggles.
Some tricks you can do to try to help: keep your eyes looking at the horizon or an object far ahead in front of you.
Don't read or look down at a scree and try rolling down the window to get some fresh air when you feel sick.
And if motion sickness is really causing a problem, be sure to tell an adult.
They may have some other ways to help.
