Long before Sears built the worlds tallest building in 1973, it opened another Chicago tower - in 1906. That tower was just 14 stories tall but it was a national landmark because of the prominence of the Sears Catalog. The tower was part of Sears Roebucks west side headquarters, in what was then the worlds largest commercial building. This story was originally presented in 2006.
