This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle music) (bright music) (Ginger inhales) - Mm!
(chuckles) (sniffing) This way.
- [Narrator] Ginger may not be a predator like the Pea-Rexes, but there's one thing Tricarrotops know how to hunt.
- Mm.
(chuckles) Bingo!
- [Narrator] Sun blossoms.
- (munching) Mm!
(she slurps) - [Narrator] The sun blossoms' orange petals are rich in vitamins and make Tricarrotops coats extra vibrant.
- (munches gingerly) Ugh!
- Whee-hee!
Whee!
Hee-hee!
(Wasabi gobbles loudly) (Split gasps) - Yeah!
- Come on, Minty.
Mm!
You're missing out.
(Ginger chomps) (creature buzzes) (Ginger gasps) - [Narrator] It's an Appleflyus!
Ginger has disturbed this one by mistake.

- Whoa!
- Ah!
(Ginger groans) Ugh!
I need something to stop this itch.
I can't scratch my nose forever.
(Appleflyus buzzes) Huh?
- [Narrator] Appleflyus tails are high in antioxidants that can soothe pain, wounds and itching, making them nature's bandage.
(Appleflyus flutters and buzzes) - I think its tail might be the cure to my sting.
- [Pea-Rexes] Ah?
(Ginger grunts) Oh!
- Calm down, the honeysuckle is empty, but it'll work as a trap.
(all grunt) (inquisitive music) Um, could one of you scratch my nose?
(Pea-Rexes chitter) (Minty sighs and grunts) Ah!
(Appleflyus buzzes) (gentle music) Mm!
That's the spot.
(gasps) Look!
It's working!
(Pea-Rexes jabber) Shh.
Wait for my signal.
(soft suspenseful music) (wings fluttering) Now!
- Hyah!
- Whee!
(all jabber and yell) (lively music) - Grab the tail!
(Appleflyus buzzes) - Ah!
- Oh!
(Pea-Rexes grunt) (Wasabi gibbers) - Are you okay?
(all chitter) Where's it gone?
- [Narrator] In trying to escape, the panicked Appleflyus has wedged its long, pointy nose in a tree.
- [All] Ah?
(Appleflyus buzzes) - Uh...
I think we'd better help it first.
- Huh?
- Come on, we should give it a hand.
Then it might help us!
- Yeah!
- Mm-hm!
- (muffled) Ready?
One, two, three!
(suspenseful music) (Appleflyus pops loose) (all thud) Oof!
(Appleflyus buzzes) Hey, sorry about before.
(gentle music) I'll watch where I'm munching next time.
(Appleflyus buzzes) So, I was wondering, do you think you could use that tail of yours to...?
(Appleflyus buzzes) (gasps) I said I was sorry!
Ah!
- [Narrator] In a truly remarkable display of nature and nurture, the Appleflyus uses its tail to cure Ginger.
(Appleflyus buzzes) - Wow.
Thanks.
(all buzz) Come visit us again soon.
I mean, we're practically friends now, right?
(Appleflyus blows raspberry) (Pea-Rexes laugh) (Ginger laughs nervously) Okay... guess not!
(Wasabi gobbles loudly) Wasabi, you feeling okay?
(Minty and Split giggling) - Huh?
Ah!
(all laughing) - [Narrator] It seems sun blossoms can give Pea-Rexes a vibrant coat as well.
- Never thought I'd see an orange Wasabi, but here we are.
- [Narrator] Vegesaur Valley is always full of surprises.
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Boo.
- Ah.
- [Narrator] The Mandarinteryx is the valley's messiest creature.
- Boo.
- [Narrator] Everywhere they go, they leave mounds of dirt or pips in their wake, but it's all part of their lifecycle.
(bright upbeat music) (Mandarinteryx grumbling) One Mandarinteryx digs a hole, the other plants a seed.
These Vegesaurs are all about teamwork.
(Mandarinteryx grumbling) (Mandarinteryx cooing) - [Narrator] It's the late Crunchiest period, when the world was dominated by the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet, the mighty "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) (baby pea-rexes panting) (pea-rexes grunting and laughing) - Okay, okay.
I'm awake!
(Ginger yawns) (distant rumbling) Huh?
- Huh?
(Ginger yawns) - [Narrator] The volcano is active.
The possibility of an eruption is a constant threat.
- It's gonna blow!
Assume safety position!
(pea-rexes yelping) If I can't see, it's not a problem.
(creatures cawing and rumbling ground) (volcano rumbling) (gasps) Incoming!
- Ah!
Whoa!
- Ah!
- Ah.
(gasps) (baby pea-rex grunts) (impact booming) - Whoa!
It's a lava nut!
- [Narrator] Hard on the outside and packed full of delicious volcanic goodness!
- Careful!
It's hot!
(lava nut sizzles) (pea-rexes blowing) (Wasabi inhales) (Wasabi blows deeply) - Hoo-hoo!
(Wasabi gnawing and snarling) - Wasabi, you'll never crack it open.
Those nuts are like the hardest thing in the world!
- Oh.
(baby pea-rex giggling) (Ginger giggles) - Ya!
(sharp cracking) - No way!
You did it?
(Wasabi cries) - [Ginger] Oh no.
Was that your tooth?
- [Narrator] Wobbly baby teeth can be painful.
Removing them is sometimes the only option.
- How are we gonna get it out?
Hmm.
Ah-ha!
When you jump, the vine will pull your tooth out!
It'll be fun.
(Wasabi chuckles) (Ginger giggles) One, two, - Whee!
Oh!
(groans) - [Ginger] Oops!
Too long.
- [Narrator] These vines are from a Stretchalotyum Bungicordium, otherwise known as a bungee tree.
- On the count of, - Whee!
- [Narrator] And they're incredibly stretchy.
- Wah!
Ooh!
(Wasabi giggles) - Huh?
(pea-rexes laughing) - This one should work!
It's not stretchy.
I'm going to yank the vine really hard, and that will pull your tooth out.
Got it?
- Uh-huh!
- Say ah!
- Ah!
(screaming fades) - Okay!
Clearly, we need an anchor Wasabi down.
- Ah!
- Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
- Ah!
- Relax!
This won't hurt a bit.
(Wasabi whimpering) (Ginger grunts) - Ah!
- [Narrator] Bravo!
Ginger can now add proud dentists to her long list of skills!
- (gasps) We did it!
- Uh, ah!
(tooth squeaking) - [Ginger] Oh no.
We pulled the wrong tooth out.
(baby pea-rex babbling softly) - Ah.
(Wasabi crying out loudly) (frantic, playful orchestral music) (Wasabi crying) - (gasps) Your wobbly tooth!
It's out!
- Huh?
(baby pea-rex giggles) - [Narrator] Baby pea-rexes have high levels of calcium, making tooth regrowth very fast.
- Oh!
We've learned a big lesson today.
A lava nut is super hard.
You should never bite down on one!
(volcano booming) Nothing can crack a lava nut.
Except for another lava nut!
Hey, save some for me!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Let's sing a song together!
