This show will follow KJ Kearney as he finds the ‘informal’ ways to be civically engaged in everyday life so that viewers can feel empowered to make a meaningful impact on the reg rather than just on election days. Like shoes, one size does not fit all, “trying on” various types of informal civic engagement, KJ will find what pairs suit him to make a footprint in our democracy.

About the Host
KJ Kearney is a community organizer and the founder of Black Food Fridays, a James Beard Award-nominated social media advocacy initiative that encourages everyone to purchase food and drinks from Black-owned restaurants each and every Friday. He works to create commonality between disparate groups by highlighting the many ways we are common while also not being afraid to discuss the unique ways we differ. KJ has an innate ability to break down complex issues to a variety of people.
